Midland College announces hiring of assistant coach for women’s basketball

The women’s basketball team at Midland College has filled their assistant coach vacancy with the hiring of Cory Hill. He will provide the team and the Lady Chaps' coaching staff with a wealth of experience, particularly in game planning.

According to a news release, Midland College was impressed by Hill's ability to develop student-athletes and his capacity to spur academic growth in players, aligning with the institution’s objective to support student-athletes in both areas of their college experience.

"We are thrilled to welcome Cory Hill to Midland College," said Head Women’s Basketball Coach Ron Jones. "I think, more than anything else, what Cory will bring to MC is incredible enthusiasm, strong drive, and a great work ethic."

Prior to joining Midland College, Hill had stints at Western Nebraska Community College, University Christian, and Tocoi Creek High School. According to the news release, he is known for his ability to make in-game adjustments and enhance team performance.
