The city of Midland’s largest event venue is requesting the public to complete an online survey before July 21.

According to a July 12 Facebook post by the Midland County Horseshoe, the New Horseshoe Recreation Area Survey can be taken at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NDXV2JN. A link to a video of a recent public meeting is also included in the post.

According to Permian Basin NBC affiliate KWES News, the survey seeks to help develop the overall vision for the recreation area, as well as suggest specific features they would like to see included.

Opened in 2006, its website says, the Horseshoe has hosted more than 3,000 events and two million guests, touting itself as West Texas’ largest premier venue. Among these events are championship rodeos, equestrian competitions, concerts, sporting events, trade shows, conventions, community events, and wedding receptions.

Located at 2514 Arena Trail, the venue can be contacted at (432) 682-1300.
