In this edition of "Adoptable Pet of the Week," introduced are two companions waiting for their “fur-ever” homes at the Midland Humane Coalition, Shiloh and Charlie.
Shiloh is a 4-year-old female Pitbull mix with a stout body and head, weighing approximately 60-65 pounds. She has a tricolor coat with brownish-grey tones and white accents on her chest and some of her feet. Shiloh was abandoned in a hotel bathroom but was fortunately rescued and brought to MHC.
Shiloh has a wonderful demeanor with people and appears to be dog-friendly, although her high energy levels can be overwhelming for some dogs. She loves to give hugs and is very loving and sweet. Due to her strength, Shiloh needs to continue working on leash training. In her time at MHC, she has walked through the cat kennel area and has shown to be non-reactive to cats.
Charlie is a 1-year-old male Pitbull, stout and muscled, weighing about 55 pounds. He has a very short black and white coat. Charlie was recently pulled from the city shelter by MHC just before his time was up. He is very friendly with people and is reported to be good with older kids and other dogs his size. However, he has not lived with cats.
Charlie is very playful and has a habit of putting non-toy items like shoes and socks in his mouth. He does well on a leash and in a crate, but may be too high energy for small dogs and very small children. Charlie is full of love and aims to please his future family.
If you're considering adopting a pet, think about welcoming Shiloh or Charlie into your home. Visit the Midland Humane Coalition to meet these two companions and explore the possibility of giving them a loving home.
