Midland non-profit organization Sassy’s Dog Rescue will host Bark in the Park at Astound Broadband Stadium on June 20 at 7:30 p.m. The event coincides with the soccer match between West Texas FC and CF 10 Houston.

A June 18 Facebook post by the group stated that the event promises to be a "paw-some" time for the entire family.

Attendees will get a chance to meet the organization’s rescue dogs.

According to the post, Sassy’s Dog Rescue will set up with some merchandise at 5:30 p.m. during the pre-match happy hour.

The post touts the event as something for soccer lovers and dog owners.

As its name suggests, Sassy’s Dog Rescue’s purpose is to rescue neglected animals from the streets and/or kill shelters and find them permanent, approved homes, according to Petfinder.

Sassy’s Dog Rescue also aims to educate the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership, spaying, and neutering.
