The Midland Fire Department (MFD) responded to an apartment fire on the city's north side on June 7. Eight units at the Renew North Park in the 3600 block of Caldera Boulevard were impacted by the event.

According to a press release issued by the city, while the blaze inflicted structural damage and displaced tenants, it yielded no injuries. The Salvation Army had been notified, the release said.

Permian Basin NBC affiliate KWES News reported that the fire broke out during an air conditioning unit repair a little after 2:30 p.m.

A few days prior, MFD extinguished a fire at the F. Marie Hall Outpatient Center, located at 4214 Andrews Highway, at approximately 7:32 p.m. on June 4, according to Midland Times.

The department also responded to a residential blaze in the 2000 block of Jadewood Drive on the evening of May 30 during a period of strong, severe weather. Neither inferno caused injuries.
