The West Texas Food Bank (WTFB) announced the expansion of its Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) to address the issue of summer hunger in the community. The 2024 SFSP will begin June 3. No signup or registration is required to participate in the program.
According to WTFB, with schools out for the summer, many children who rely on school meals are at a heightened risk of food insecurity. To combat this, WTFB has established SFSP sites to provide nutritious meals and snacks to children during the summer months.
