The Midland International Air & Space Port (MAF) is currently accepting reservations for an upcoming Transportation Security Administration (TSA) PreCheck pop-up event.
According to an April 1 Facebook post, the event will take place from April 29 to May 2, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the third-floor conference room at the airport, located at 9506 La Force Blvd. Appointments can be made by visiting https://shorturl.at/V3qZu.
MAF advised interested individuals to register promptly as spots are limited. The TSA’s website describes PreCheck as a smoother security screening process that allows passengers to bypass the removal of shoes, laptops, 3-1-1 liquids, belts, or light jackets. Additionally, passengers enjoy shorter wait times at over 200 airports across the country. More than 90 airlines also provide PreCheck.
As said on its website, MAF ranks eighth among primary commercial service airports in Texas. The airport is owned and operated by the city of Midland and offers more than 20 daily departures to several major airports including Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), Dallas Love Field (DAL), Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), Houston William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), and Denver International Airport (DEN).
