The City of Midland Parks and Recreation has announced a delay in the opening of the Washington Family Aquatic Center due to a 6-inch pipe burst that flooded the pump room on Saturday, May 25.
"Our dedicated staff managed to catch it in time to prevent significant damage," stated a city representative. The necessary repairs will be conducted as quickly as possible, but no timeline is available due to the holiday weekend. Updates will be provided when available.
Despite this setback, Doug Russell and the Dennis the Menace splash pad are still scheduled to open today.
