Michelle Watson, the founder of the 1:11 Project, said she is very grateful for the support received but that there is a need for much more funding and community involvement to continue their work. Watson was a guest on a recent episode of the Best of Midland Podcast.

"I'm very grateful for people who have supported us, but yes, we need a lot more support," said Watson on a recent edition of the Best of Midland Podcast. " We definitely do need funding. I hadn't even begun to look at grants or anything yet because we were so new. We're doing a school presentation today, and then tomorrow we're doing five."

“So we haven't even begun," Watson said. “The people come and the things happen. And so we need all the people. We need people for a lot of things."

Watson is the founder of the 1:11 Project, a registered non-profit organization focused on raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl and combating its misuse.
