Midland College announced a new admissions program known as the ChapConnect Instant Admissions program. The program is a collaboration between Midland College and Midland Independent School District (MISD), in which all MISD high school graduates are automatically accepted into Midland College. The announcement was made in a press release on May 23.

"Whether graduates have been with us earning dual credits or are new to the campus, we are excited to welcome them into the Midland College family," said President of Midland College Damon Kennedy in the release. "The ChapConnect Instant Admissions Program offers a smooth transition for MISD students to continue their education and pursue their academic and career goals."

MISD Superintendent Dr. Stephanie Howard said students will benefit from the initiative through a simplified college admission process. "At MISD, our mission is that all students will graduate college, career, or military ready, and the ChapConnect Instant Admissions Program simplifies the college admissions process for our college-bound students," she said in the release. "Through Midland College, one hundred percent of MISD graduates are automatically accepted, and this program makes the process of taking that next step after graduation seamless. We appreciate Dr. Kennedy and Midland College for making this a reality."

MISD graduates will receive acceptance letters to Midland College at this week's graduation ceremonies.
