Midland College celebrates Spring 2024 Nursing and Respiratory Care graduates

Midland College recently conducted two pinning ceremonies to honor the Spring 2024 associate degree graduates of the Nursing and Respiratory Care programs. The traditional pinning and candle lighting ceremonies were attended by family and friends of the 12 Respiratory Care and 17 Nursing graduates. The events took place in the Allison Fine Arts Building, Wagner & Brown Auditorium.

During the ceremony, Midland College Vice President of Instruction Dr. Michael Dixon addressed the graduates. He emphasized the selflessness inherent in becoming a healthcare professional and lauded the dedication of the Spring 2024 graduates who are now set to join the ranks of compassionate caregivers in West Texas.

"Midland College's Associate Degree Nursing and Respiratory Care programs stand out for their excellence," said Dr. Dixon. "This excellence is a testament to our students' unwavering commitment to personal growth and the pursuit of the highest standards of care. Their dedication not only ensures healing for those they will serve but also serves as an inspiration for future students. The faculty members in both programs are to be commended for their steadfast efforts to support these students as they transition into healthcare professionals."

The list of Spring 2024 Respiratory Care graduates includes Jorge Ballinas, Sydney Calderon, Tara Cazares, Danielle De La Rosa, Natalie Hernandez, Katrina Krop, Natalie Maldonado Medrano, Alyne Munoz, Shelby Murphy, Makenzie Plitt, Cassandra Rodriguez, and Sador Sotelo.

The Spring 2024 Associate Degree Nursing graduates who completed the two-year associate degree program are Matthew Arizpe, Stephania Najera-Arrieta, Jacquelin Bagues, Miranda Carrasco, Nicole Felix, Devan Idell, Nykesha Jim, Uju Kalu-Samuel, Edna Marquez, Denisse Mata, Matthew Monaghan, Irene Primera, Kara Salcido, Adrian Sigala, Misty Steward, Elizabeth Torres, and Cole Wallace.
