Midland Memorial Hospital (MMH) has been recognized by "Modern Healthcare" Magazine as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for the second consecutive year. This accolade is part of an annual list that Modern Healthcare will publish in its October 14, 2024, issue.

According to a press release issued by MMH on May 13, Dan Peres, President of Modern Healthcare, said that MMH and its fellow honorees understand "the importance of getting clever about how they attract and hold onto talent in a time of economic uncertainty, staffing challenges, and demands for more flexibility."

Stephen Bowerman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MMH, expressed his immense pride in the hospital earning this accolade once again in the same release.

The Best Places to Work in Healthcare awardees are determined through a collaborative process between Modern Healthcare and Workforce Research Group, as stated in the release.

The final ranking for MMH will be revealed days before the issue is distributed at the 2024 Best Places to Work in Healthcare Awards Gala on October 10 in Nashville, Tennessee.

As per MMH's website, it first opened its doors in 1950 as the sole non-profit hospital in Midland County. Over nearly 75 years, the hospital has grown from a modest 75-bed facility to a substantial 546-bed patient tower.
