Makayla "MK" Lang, a new resident of Midland, joined Midland County as its Human Resources Director.
According to Lang, she took the position in March after relocating to Midland to be closer to her husband, whose job brought him to the area.
With a master's degree in public administration, a doctorate in change management, a law degree, and years of county work experience in Pennsylvania, Lang said she is eager to improve the county's professional development opportunities.
“I’m dedicated to creating tailored hiring solutions and programs for some of our various departments that need efficient and effective hiring pipelines,” Lang told Midland Times. “Several segments of our population, such as the disabled, are overlooked when it comes to hiring. I want to change that.”
Lang’s goal is to create hiring practices that are inclusive and forge partnerships with institutions in the community, and she said she envisions collaborating with schools, colleges, universities, and nonprofits.
