COM Aquatics, in collaboration with the Arthritis Foundation, held its fourth annual Walk to Cure Arthritis on May 11. The event serves as a platform for COM to educate people on how to effectively manage arthritis.

According to Permian Basin CBS affiliate KOSA News, COM Aquatics uses the proceeds from this event to fund groundbreaking research in the field of arthritis. KOSA further reported that participants were given an opportunity to walk in the wellness pool for an hour.

The Mayo Clinic describes arthritis as a condition characterized by swelling and tenderness in one or more joints. Individuals afflicted with arthritis typically experience joint pain and stiffness, symptoms which progressively worsen over time.

COM Aquatics was established in 1967 by a group of Midland parents who aspired for their children to excel in swimming. Over its tenure, this non-profit organization has witnessed the inauguration of several facilities and has trained numerous swimmers based in the Permian Basin. It is located at 3003 N. A St.
