The Tailgate, an outdoor entertainment venue in Midland, is set to host a star-studded Basin Brunch event on Saturday, featuring none other than comedian, television host, actor, and rapper Nick Cannon. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to midnight at 4401 N. Big Spring.
Known for bringing big names to the area, The Tailgate's monthly Basin Brunch has become a staple in the community. Local food trucks, including Frenchy's, Chatty Mule, Kitchen by Laurie, and Chilaquiles, will serve brunch delights to complement the entertainment lineup.
Co-owner of The Tailgate, Ariel Herrera, expressed excitement about this unique iteration of the Basin Brunch. "This Saturday will be a reverse Basin Brunch because it’s in the evening," Herrera said. "Our goal is to bring entertainment to Midland and bring the community together. We have concerts almost every weekend, we hold a lot of fundraisers & pop-up markets supporting local businesses."
Reflecting on past successes, Herrera highlighted the venue's impressive roster of past performers, including Lil Jon, DJ Drama, Deux Twins, Jen Jones, and Yo Yolie. While artists for upcoming Basin Brunch events have yet to be announced, Herrera said he assures that the future lineup will continue to impress.
Discussing the event's age restrictions, Herrera said, "The age range varies for events depending on the artist. Most of our other concerts are 18 and up. But they do have a few all-ages concerts coming up. Saturday’s event is for ages 21 and up."
General admission tickets for the Basin Brunch featuring Nick Cannon are priced at $15. Additionally, a limited number of VIP couches and VIP tables are still available for those seeking a more exclusive experience. Tickets can be purchased through The Tailgate’s website.
