Midland Memorial Hospital (MMH) will host an event to raise awareness of National Donate Life Month in April, as mentioned in a Facebook post.

According to the hospital’s post, the event will take place in the front lobby of MMH, located at 400 Rosalind Redfern Grover Parkway, on April 11 at 10 a.m. The ceremony will include a flag raising, guest speakers, and a performance by the Greenwood Band.

Attendees are encouraged to wear blue or green, the colors associated with National Donate Life Month. The event will also feature refreshments.

The hospital said that over 100,000 people are waiting for a lifesaving transplant. National Donate Life Month was established by the non-profit organization Donate Life America (DLA) and its partnering organizations in 2003 to encourage Americans to register as organ, eye, and tissue donors and to honor those who have saved lives through the gift of donation.
