Sibley Nature Center Spring Festival | Midland Times

Sibley Nature Center held its annual Spring Festival on April 27, drawing families from across Midland for a day of activities and education. The festival included a tour of the garden, ecology and conservation teachings, and children's activities.

This year’s festival featured guided garden tours, a fish-stocked pond, and live animal encounters, where participants could interact with a camel, lizards, and other creatures, according to Garden Coordinator Jennifer Gammage. The festival also offered free donuts and a variety of food trucks serving refreshments.

Amelia Cole, a festival attendee, commented on the live animal interactions: "The kids loved seeing the camel up close," she said. "It's a great way to teach them about wildlife and nature."

The Sibley Nature Center celebrates the nature and history of the Midland region. It provides educational programs and other experiences. It sits on 49 acres in Hogan Park. For more information about the center’s programs visit sibleynaturecenter.org.
