The Midland City Council has sanctioned the rezoning of 30.91 acres of land from agricultural to SF2, which is a single-family dwelling district. This change will facilitate the addition of 58 lots in the upcoming phase of Pavilion Park Addition.

Situated on the north side of Solomon Lane, approximately 900 feet east of Trenwood Drive, this property's rezoning was discussed and approved during the Midland City Council meeting held on April 23, as per the council's results packet.

Councilmember Robin Poole initiated the motion to approve the rezoning ordinance. John Norman seconded this motion, according to information provided in the Midland City Council results packet for its April 23 meeting. The vote to approve was unanimous.

According to the same source, it is mandatory for the developer to identify city-permitted wells that were not included on the plat and are operated by Pioneer Resources to the south. The staff estimated that around 8 to 10 wells are currently being operated. The developer may seek assistance from city staff to identify an existing blanket radius variance for these wells, which would need to be marked on the plat.
