EZ-Rider bus system sees significant growth in early 2024

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- The Midland-Odessa Urban Transit District has reported a substantial increase in the number of passengers utilizing the EZ-Rider bus system in the month of February 2024. According to the district, the number of fixed-route passengers reached 10,472, marking a 32.4% growth compared to February 2023 when 7,905 passengers were recorded. This surge in ridership in Midland surpassed both the figures from January 2024 (10,322) and Odessa in February (10,325).

The district also highlighted that in addition to the fixed-route passengers, 1,453 passengers utilized the paratransit system in Midland, further contributing to the overall increase in ridership. In comparison, Odessa saw 769 passengers using the paratransit system during the same period.
