In this edition of "Adoptable Pet of the Week," introduced are two companions waiting for their “fur-ever” homes at the Midland Humane Coalition, Kristi and Kit.

Kristi is a 10-month-old Shepherd/Boxer mix puppy and found herself at the Midland Animal Service Center before being rescued by Sassy's Dog Rescue. Placed with a loving foster family, Kristi has thrived and is now ready to bring joy to a permanent home. This happy-go-lucky pup is a social butterfly once she feels comfortable around people and other dogs. While Kristi may benefit from a bit of basic training, her intelligence and eagerness to please make her a quick learner. Known for her playful nature, Kristi loves spending time with people, though she also enjoys some relaxing cuddle sessions. The verdict on her interactions with cats remains unknown, so a proper introduction might be in order.

Kit is a 4-month-old female Domestic Short Hair with a stunning silver tabby coat and was rescued from the streets along with her brothers. Now seeking a loving home, Kit has made significant progress in overcoming her initial shyness. This sweet kitty, although initially reserved, warms up to those who approach her with patience and gentleness. Kit would thrive in a calm home environment where her family has some cat experience to understand and appreciate her unique needs. As a young feline, she has come a long way from being a tiny, scared kitten. However, Kit may still face challenges during transitions and could benefit from a supportive and understanding adoptive family.

If you're considering adopting a pet, think about welcoming Kristi or Kit into your home. Visit the Midland Humane Coalition to meet these two companions and explore the possibility of giving them a loving home.
