Early College High School inducts 43 students in National Honor Society

The Early College High School (ECHS) at Midland College, part of the Midland Independent School District (MISD), recently announced the induction of 43 students into the National Honor Society (NHS). The NHS, established over a century ago, is an esteemed organization that recognizes high school students who have achieved high academic standards.

According to a release from ECHS, an induction ceremony was held for these new members. "At the ceremony, the inductees pledged to adhere to the values and principles of the NHS and were each presented with an NHS membership pin," said the district.

The newly inducted members include Ryan Aguilar, Ailyn Alvarez, Daritzy Andrade, Alelyeli Armendariz Sanchez, Ava Aston, Christopher Balboa, Kaylee Bouten, Christian Delgadillo, Lucia Estrada, Rachel Fasae, Ilayna Franco, Loretta Fresquez, Isaiah Gomez, Aubrey Gonzales, Kara Gutierrez, Emily Hinshaw, Nadia Holguin-Morales, Micaela Hunt, Zing Lang, Emma Leal and others.

The NHS states that it has numerous chapters across all 50 states in America and several countries globally. According to information on its website: "It serves more than 1.4 million students."
