Midland tennis player Rhodes McAlister ranks in Boys’ 14 singles points bracket in week ending May 13

Rhodes McAlister of Midland finished 16,108th in the United States Tennis Association’s Boys’ 14 bracket in the week ending May 13.

They earned nine points to finish the week with 95 single points.

Their ranking rose by 818 over the week before.

Players earn points per round in tournaments, winning higher points the further into a tournament they advance.

Jarett Cascino of New York Tennis Magazine says tennis is one of the most competitive youth sports.
