How high did Midland junior tennis player Bryson Powell rank in Boys’ 16 bracket for singles points in week ending Nov. 12?

Bryson Powell of Midland finished 15,700th in the United States Tennis Association’s Boys’ 16 bracket in the week ending Nov. 12.

They earned no points to finish the week with 100 single points.

Their ranking fell by 141 from the week before.

There are 50 USTA players from Midland across all age categories.

Players earn points per round in tournaments, winning higher points the further into a tournament they advance.

Jarett Cascino of New York Tennis Magazine says tennis is one of the most competitive youth sports.

“There is always someone better than you on any given day, even if you are the number one player in the world!” he said.
