Midland tennis player Camille Jeane ranks in Girls’ 12 singles points bracket in week ending April 16

Camille Jeane of Midland finished 19,709th in the United States Tennis Association’s Girls’ 12 bracket in the week ending April 16.

They lost 42 points to finish the week with 30 single points.

Their ranking fell by 5,763 from the week before.

There are 40 USTA players from Midland across all age categories.

Players earn points per round in tournaments, winning higher points the further into a tournament they advance.

Jarett Cascino of New York Tennis Magazine says tennis is one of the most competitive youth sports.

“There is always someone better than you on any given day, even if you are the number one player in the world!” he said.
