Keep Midland Beautiful has issued the following press release:

The Friends of Windlands Coalition are inviting the public to their Saturday, Dec. 4 Windlands Park event. The public and “The Friends” will help to sow native grass and wildflower seeds with Samuel Lutfy from the Texas Native Seeds and Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Center. Followed by a tree pruning demonstration by the Permian Basin Master Gardeners. The activities will begin at 2 p.m.

Attendees are asked to bring rakes, gloves and wear work clothes and shoes – and maybe some pent-up tension because you will help stomp the seeds into the ground.  This event will be the place to ask any questions you have about the new “Prairie” activity at Windlands Park.

This event is made possible with the support of the Friends of Windlands Coalition which is a collaboration of Permian Basin Master Gardeners, Texas Native Seeds, Llano Estacado Texas Master Naturalists and Keep Midland Beautiful, each group bringing its dedication to community and the environment.
