Midland JC's Ethan Mann earns conference honors in baseball

The season may not have ended the way Midland Junior College envisioned, but Ethan Mann will have a nice honor to carry with him after earning the Western Junior College Athletic Conference Baseball Position Player of the Week.

Mann, a sophomore third baseman, collected the accolade for his performance during the week of March 1-7. 

In a 26-0 win over Luna, Mann drilled three home runs and brought in four RBI. In the first game of a doubleheader against Luna, Mann hit one home run and had two RBI. For the week, Mann hit .625 with six home runs and 15 RBI, adding a double and nine runs.

Mann hit .380 for the season with seven home runs and 23 RBI to help lead Midland to an 11-9 record. All spring sports were canceled at the National Junior College Athletic Association level with the Chaparrals having a 4-0 record in the WJCAC.
