Residents in the area can anticipate warmer-than-average temperatures during the first week of February.

The National Weather Service (NWS) in Midland posted on X that temperatures are expected to rise over the next few days. "Many areas could see temperatures in the 80s by Monday, which is very warm for this time of year," the organization wrote.

According to the NWS forecast, Sunday will see a high of 78 degrees and a low of 47, with wind gusts reaching up to five miles per hour in the afternoon. Monday is predicted to be sunny with a high near 83 and a low of 52. Tuesday will have a high of 82 with a low of 55. Wednesday will follow suit with an expected high of 83 and a low of 49. Thursday is expected to be sunny with a high near 81 and a low of 45, while Friday's high will reach approximately 80 with a low of 55.

The daily average high in Midland this year is just above 50, with the low right above 27, according to the NWS. The area has seen only 0.11 inches of precipitation in 2025, below the average of 0.66 inches.
