A new restaurant is set to open in the city, as indicated by a filing with a state regulatory agency.
According to the January 8 filing, a 3,500 square-foot suite within a strip mall is slated for a $350,000 interior renovation. The establishment, Taphouse Kitchen & Bar, is being spearheaded by Alex Gamboa.
The filing specifies two addresses for the project: 4416 Briarwood Avenue Suite 110, located at The Shops at Briarwood, and 6411 N. Highway 349 Suite 3, part of a newly developed strip mall. An Instagram post from Taphouse Kitchen & Bar confirms that the restaurant will be part of this new commercial development.
According to the filing, Juan Kawaha of Fierce Property Investments is developing the project. Kawaha is also identified as the owner of Grace Builders & Construction on his LinkedIn profile. Renovations were scheduled to commence on January 8 and are expected to conclude by May 8. Design services were provided by McCamey-based architect Octavio Rodriguez.
