The owner of Philly’s Golf Club has been granted a specific use designation (SUD) at a recent Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, permitting alcohol sales at the proposed restaurant and entertainment venue.

According to the proposal by Philly’s Golf Club, LLC, led by Ryan Hernandez, the development will feature an 8,500-square-foot lounge with a designated alcohol service area of 5,750 square feet. The property is zoned as a regional retail district and required the SUD to permit alcoholic beverage sales for on-premises consumption.

The City Council is expected to vote on this recommendation in an upcoming meeting. The project site is located at 6409 North Highway 349, with Midland-based Fierce Property Investments listed as the landowner. The planned establishment will include five golf bays, one private golf bay, an indoor bar, an indoor/outdoor bar, and a patio.

Earlier this month, Philly's Golf Club shared progress updates via its Instagram page. A TikTok video posted showed that infrastructure work was complete and construction was ready to commence. "When you start to think nothing is changing, it’s important to remember where you started," read the post.
