Maria Bustillos Garcia Honored at Funeral Mass in Midland

Family and friends of the late Maria Bustillos Garcia gathered to bid farewell to their beloved mother, grandmother, and friend at a touching funeral mass. Maria, who was born on February 18, 1930, in Guachochi, Chihuahua, Mexico, passed away on December 1st at the age of 94 in Midland, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pompeyo Arteaga, and her son, Saul Arteaga.

During the visitation held for family on Tuesday, December 3rd, and for family and friends on Wednesday, a Rosary was recited in memory of Maria Garcia. The funeral mass took place at St. Michael the Archangel Church on the morning of December 4th at 11:00 a.m., followed by the burial at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Maria was remembered as a loving mother, a devoted grandmother, and a woman of great faith in God. Her deep love for her family and nature was engrained in her spirit until her last moments. Her wish for her family, expressed in her final words, echoed the importance of unity and love that she held dear.
