Midland Health has announced that its Simulation Innovation Training for Healthcare Program has received accreditation in the area of Teaching/Education from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). The SSH is recognized as the largest accrediting body for healthcare simulation programs globally. With this accreditation, Midland Health becomes one of 20 healthcare simulation programs in Texas to achieve such recognition.
The program at Midland Health aims to enhance staff skills to maintain high-quality patient care. Dr. Kit Bredimus, Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, expressed pride in the team’s achievement: “I couldn’t be prouder of our simulation team – not only for their incredible hard work in achieving this prestigious accreditation but also for their unwavering dedication to ensuring our medical teams receive the highest quality training right here in Midland.”
The formal recognition by SSH will occur during the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH) 2025 at the President’s Diamond Ball scheduled for January.
