A Lady Rebels basketball player has announced her commitment to continue playing at the collegiate level.
"I am blessed to say that I am officially committed to Friends University! I want to thank God, as well as my support system that has helped me throughout the process. #GoFalcons," said Nina Hollins. She expressed gratitude towards the Lady Rebels X account, West Texas Blazers Basketball, Friends University, and the school's women's basketball X account.
In October, Hollins shared on social media that she had visited Friends University and received an official offer to play for their team. The university competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II and is located in Wichita, Kansas. "Thank you coaches for believing in me. #GoFalcons," she added.
According to MaxPreps, Hollins plays as a power forward and shooting forward for the Lady Rebels. As a junior, she contributed to a team record of 17-17 overall and 6-4 in district play, helping secure third place in the standings. This season, the Lady Rebels hold a record of 6-5 and are scheduled to face the Seminole Indians, who currently stand at 8-2, on Tuesday, December 3.
