A new warehouse project is set to commence in the southern part of the city by the end of this year.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), Midland Battery will construct a 6,200 square-foot warehouse at an estimated cost of $350,000. The project is tentatively scheduled to begin on December 1 and conclude by August 1, 2025.
The warehouse will be located at 1400 Front Street, adjacent to Midland Battery’s current location at 1410 W. Front Street, as said in the TDLR filing. The local design firm H3 Digital Design is part of the project team.
Movoto reports that the 0.14-acre site is currently developed with a facility built in 1965, which Midland Battery currently uses as a warehouse.
Midland Battery's website indicates that the company has been serving the community since 1974 with starting and charging battery systems. The company specializes in alternator and service repairs, along with new alternator and starter sales.
