Midland College has announced its membership in Achieving the Dream (ATD), a national network focused on higher education reform. This addition places Midland College among eight institutions joining the 2024 cohort. The college will participate in ATD’s Foundations of Transformation, a three-year program aimed at enhancing student success through collaboration with expert coaches.
"Midland College is fully committed to ensuring our students are equipped with the tools they need to succeed," stated Dr. Damon Kennedy, President of Midland College. He emphasized that their dedication extends beyond academics to include comprehensive support and resources tailored to individual needs.
The new cohort, including Midland College and six other institutions, will attend ATD’s Kickoff Institute from June 12-14 in New Orleans. This event introduces colleges to ATD's Institutional Capacity Framework, designed to foster a student-centered culture.
Achieving the Dream supports over 300 community colleges nationwide by providing integrated support across various areas such as leadership and equity. Their mission is for every college to be an agent of equitable and economically vibrant communities.
