Gilberto Valenzuela Jr., born on April 7, 1956, in Alpine, TX, to Gilberto Valenzuela Sr. and Irene Razo Valenzuela, passed away at the age of 68. A man of dedication and commitment, Gilberto attended Odessa High School and later returned at age 62 to earn his high school diploma.

For 50 years, Gilberto worked as a skilled welder, exemplifying a strong work ethic and proficiency in his craft. Beyond his profession, he found joy in riding his Harley, fishing, playing pool, and hosting cookouts with his loved ones. Gilberto cherished every moment spent with family and friends, savoring the warmth of companionship.

He is survived by his loving wife, Laura Lujan Valenzuela, and their four children: Priscilla Ochoa and her husband Gabriel Sanchez, Gilbert Valenzuela III and his wife Christina Diaz, Angel Valenzuela and his wife Jeanette Valenzuela, and Gregorio Valenzuela, all residing in Odessa, TX. Gilberto's legacy lives on through his nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness.

Gilberto Valenzuela Jr. will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his family, and unwavering love. His memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Gilberto. Your legacy of strength and love will endure.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 6-8 PM. A funeral service followed by burial is scheduled for Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 10:00 AM at American Heritage Cemetery Funeral Home Crematory in Midland, Texas.
