After marrying Richard Montez on July 3, 1999, at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Midland, Elisa found fulfillment as a kindergarten aide at St. Ann’s School. She shared her beautiful voice as part of the music ministry and ACTS, enriching the lives of many through her talents. Elisa's greatest joy came from being a devoted mother and grandmother, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Her warm and welcoming spirit made her a friend to all and a source of comfort to many.
Elisa was a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her husband Richard Montez; children Hannah Ashton, Julian Montez, and Giovanni Montez; mother Janie Bernard; father Louis Gonzales and stepmother Barbara; brother Louis Gonzales Jr. and sister Chessarey Leascher; along with five grandchildren and two godchildren, as well as numerous relatives.
Family and friends will gather to pay their respects at Willowbrook Funeral Home on Friday, June 14, 2024, with a Rosary service at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, followed by a reception in the Parlor as a tribute to Elisa's life and spirit.
Elisa will be remembered for her laughter, her love of family, and her ability to bring joy to everyone around her. Her legacy of kindness and warmth will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
