An overturned semi-truck carrying thousands of frozen pizzas garnered the attention of the Midland Fire Department (MFD).

According to a September 25 Facebook post by MFD, the vehicular accident occurred on September 23 along 1250/HWY-80.

The post said that the fire department was able to provide pizzas to its firefighters, its counterparts at Odessa Fire Rescue (OFR), the Midland Soup Kitchen Ministry, Rolling 7's Ranch Event Center, and the Midland County Sheriff's Office (MCSO).

MFD loaded the leftover pizzas into a refrigerated truck and the pies were slated to be distributed to the Salvation Army and other local organizations helping those in need, the post said. The incident yielded no injuries.
