David Salyers replaces Ginger Hardage as UTPB lecture series speaker

The University of Texas Permian Basin (UTPB) has announced a change in the speaker lineup for its Distinguished Lecture Series scheduled for October 8, 2024. Due to unforeseen health issues, Ginger Hardage, former Senior Vice President of Culture and Communications at Southwest Airlines, will not be able to attend.

In her place, UTPB will welcome David Salyers, former Vice President of Marketing at Chick-fil-A. Salyers is known for his extensive experience in marketing and brand development. Over his 37-year career with Chick-fil-A, he played a key role in expanding the company to over 2,300 locations nationwide.

Salyers is also recognized as a speaker, author, and consultant who focuses on helping individuals and organizations unlock their potential through brand development. He founded Spark a Revolution and co-authored the book "Remarkable!" which emphasizes transforming workplace culture through leadership. Additionally, he is a founding partner of Roam, a shared workspace aimed at making work meaningful.

The Distinguished Lecture Series event is free and open to the public. UTPB encourages community members, business professionals, and students to attend the lecture on October 8 at the Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center.
