TheaterWorksUSA’s "Dog Man: The Musical" is a production based on the bestselling series by Dav Pilkey, known for creating "Captain Underpants" and "Cat Kid Comic Club."
George and Harold, best friends who have been creating comics for years, decide to write a musical in 5th grade. Their favorite character, Dog Man, is part dog, part man, and fights crime while chewing furniture. The story follows Dog Man as he tries to save the city from Flippy the cyborg fish and his army of Beasty Buildings. He also faces Petey, an evil cat who has cloned himself.
The show is written by Kevin Del Aguila and Brad Alexander, who worked together on the Emmy-winning series "Peg + Cat" on PBS. Jen Wineman directs and choreographs.
