George W. Bush, the 43rd President of the United States, born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, has deep connections to Midland, Texas, where he grew up. Before his presidency, he served as the 46th Governor of Texas, earning praise for his compassionate conservatism. Bush, a Yale University graduate and former F-102 fighter pilot, later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. Returning to Midland, he embarked on a career in the energy business and co-owned the Texas Rangers baseball franchise.
