A local non-profit known as Sharing Hands: A Respite Experience, or “SHARE,” received a $10,000 check donation from Market Street on June 12.
The grocery chain presented the donation as part of its support to the organization’s 15th Annual SHARE Walk, which took place on April 20.
Employees from both SHARE and Market Street participated in the presentation, as well as Regional Market Street Vice President John Jameson, who presented the check.
“We collaborate with partners within the community that have similar goals like our organization,” Share’s Marketing and Development Director Cali Trowbridge told Midland Times. “Throughout the Permian Basin, we faces resource challenges for special needs families, so we do what we can to provide these families with the necessary resources and services. There really isn’t an organization like ours that offers these services and resources in the Permian Basin, so we appreciate any partners who contribute to SHARE.”
According to Trowbridge, Market Street’s donation helped SHARE surpass its event goal of $100,000, with a total of $110,857.88 received.
SHARE's mission is to assist local families raising kids with special needs and disabilities, offering support services and programs free of charge.
