Ready Midland County is advising residents and business owners who have sustained any damage from the May 30 tornado to complete a short online damage assessment survey. The city of Midland reported that the tornado was located seven miles south of Midland International Air and Space Port (MAF) late Thursday afternoon.

According to Ready Midland County, a graphic shared on Facebook indicated that the information taken from the forms will assist local emergency management officials in gaining an understanding of the damages that have occurred and will be used to assess the total damage throughout the county.

Completing the form is voluntary and must not serve as a substitute for reporting damage to an insurance company. It also does not guarantee disaster relief assistance.

Fox Weather reported that a Tornado Emergency was subsequently issued in response to what the National Weather Service (NWS) described as a large and extremely dangerous tornado.

MAF opened after the storm and has advised passengers to check with individual airlines for delays.

The city thanked emergency responders for their dedication and bravery.
