Allison Hartzoge, founder of Archway Outreach, said that their non-profit work brings Christmas cards from families whose lives have been transformed by their interventions, sharing testimonials and brain maps to illustrate the impact. Hartzoge was a guest on a recent episode of the Best of Midland Podcast.
"I have Christmas cards that come in at the end of the year, and parents are like, 'You have no idea the difference in our family,'" said Hartzoge on a recent edition of the Best of Midland Podcast. "That’s part of the non-profit; they require us, the foundations that fund us, to have outputs and things like that. We ask for testimonials and share the different brain maps and how they’ve changed.”
"You have no idea what it feels like to be the parent whose child can’t stay in class," Hartzoge said. “I can now have a job because my son stays there. My daughter now has friendships because she doesn’t have social anxiety anymore. You know, I have kids that come in that can’t go to school because they’ve got so much social anxiety. We work with couples, and when you get a part of the couple that now can go through their PTSD and we can help them regulate, now the couple can have a conversation."
Hartzoge is the founder of Archway Outreach. Archway offers professional counseling and neurotherapy services to children and families. Additionally, Archway Outreach, the nonprofit arm of the business, provides funding for the expansion of Neurotherapy services in the area through therapist training and financial assistance to clients in need.
