Miranda Lambert to headline ‘Music on the Diamond’ concert at Momentum Bank Ballpark

The Midland RockHounds announced that three-time GRAMMY Award-winner Miranda Lambert will perform live in concert at Momentum Bank Ballpark on June 29. The announcement was made in an April 22 press release.

“This marks the inaugural ‘Music on the Diamond’ concert series, and we couldn't be more excited to have Miranda Lambert as our headliner,” said General Manager of the Midland RockHounds Shelly Haenggi in the release. “As one of the five Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH) teams launching this groundbreaking initiative, we're thrilled to bring this unique event to the community of Midland. It not only showcases the versatility of our ballpark but also reinforces our commitment to providing entertainment to the community that never fails to support our organization.”

The “Music on the Diamond” concert series is a collaboration between Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), William Morris Endeavor (WME), and Doussan Music Group (DMG) and brings top artists to Minor League ballparks across the nation, according to the release.

“Bringing exciting new events and experiences to our ballparks has been a goal of ours at DBH, and the launch of ‘Music on the Diamond’ is a momentous occasion,” said Pat Battle and Peter Freund, executive chairman and CEO of DBH, in the release. “We’re thrilled to see these cornerstones of the community open their doors to the public for this unique concert experience.”

The Midland RockHounds are the class Double-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics and members of the Texas League. Established in 1972, the franchise has garnered national honors, including Minor League Baseball’s John H. Johnson Award in 2007, according to the release.
