Midland Health Volunteer Auxiliary department hosted its first employee vendor sale, featuring crafts and decorations sold by hospital staff on Saturday.

According to Director of Auxiliary Services Jackie Geiling, the event showcased crafts and decorations, including pies, cakes, wreaths, leather goods, clothing, and more.

Geiling told Midland Times that one booth sold out early and, given the response, the Auxiliary is already considering hosting more events in the future.

"We are honored to hold this event for our staff who do so much for this hospital, and it's been such a huge success," Geiling told Midland Times.

Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Midland Health Stephen Bowerman commended the department, saying, "The Auxiliary department is amazing. They accomplish and provide great volunteer support & donations to projects around the hospital."

Midland Memorial Hospital’s Auxiliary Volunteer department provides funding to purchase medical equipment. Volunteers have contributed over $20 million in equipment and volunteer hours dating back to the 1950’s, according to the department’s website.
