The Springboard Center is set to host a conference on addiction, commemorating its 25th anniversary. The event will take place on March 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bush Convention Center.

During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to gain insights, gather resources, and learn from experts in the field. The goal is to improve the community's response to addiction and provide support to those battling substance abuse.

"Given our 25th anniversary, we wanted to do something to celebrate this milestone and we decided on creating this conference on addiction by bringing in nationally known experts to share their expertise," The Springboard Center Director of Marketing and Development Joe Bell told Midland Times in an interview.

The Springboard Center Business Development Specialist Nathan Isaacks reflected on the center's evolution, saying, "Over the 25 years since the beginning of The Springboard Center, the modalities have expanded and changed, and we stay with the most current research while remaining very adaptive and responsive to what's going on within scientific studies to deliver the highest quality and effective care."

The Springboard Center has undergone changes and expansions over the years to enhance patient comfort and care and to provide a warm and inviting environment for recovery. Elements are carefully chosen and thought-out to ensure the comfortable environment needed for their clients. One way in which the center continues to expand is by their recent purchase of the adjacent land to create more availability for clients.

"In the last 25 years, let alone the last 24 months, we’re continuously improving physically and clinically and we’ve made huge steps and that's because we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us and who laid the foundation," said Bell.

When asked about the center’s aspirations regarding the impact the conference will have on residents, Isaacks said, "Following this conference, we want people to know that when they come here, they are coming to a place that's compassionate and comfortable. More than half of our staff are in recovery, so they will be supported by people who know exactly where they're at when they walk through our doors. We do not judge, we only want to help them get to where they want to be."

Isaacks goes on to say, “For attendees who are currently battling addiction, we hope and pray that we can give them the courage to take that first step by acknowledging they need help. We want this conference to foster that courage needed.”

Since its inception, The Springboard Center has served over 6,000 clients, with an estimated total exceeding 10,000 since 1999.

"What better way to celebrate a quarter of a century of impacting countless lives than by putting on a conference about addiction where we can continue to impact more lives, and that's what The Springboard Center is all about,” said Isaacks.
