Amon Mosley had a great meet at the Don Black Relays on Feb. 23 and 24, taking home a gold and a bronze to lead the Midland Bulldogs track and field team.
Boys track and field medal winners:
Midland placed third in the meet with a score of 92, behind winner Frenship with 129 and Lubbock Cooper with 119.5.
Mosley won the gold medal in the triple jump with a distance of 42 feet, 7.5 inches. Mosley also won bronze in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.01.
Jose Almanza won gold in the 1600 meter run with a time of 4:35.99.
The 4x400 meter team took gold with a time of 3:26.12. The team includes Jacob Harper, Cutter Lange, Kaleb Harper, Amon Mosley.
Ryder Sims won the silver medal in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.79.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Stroman Bridges won bronze in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 40.44.
The 4x200 meter relay team won silver with a time of 1:28.39. The team includes Tim Babino, Michael Waters, Amon Mosley, Elijah McCoy.
Blaine Hamilton was second in the discus with a distance of 142 feet, 1 inch.
Elijah McCoy took home the bronze in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.93.
Girls track and field medal winners:
Midland placed seventh with a score of 25 points. Frenship won the meet with 216 points.
The 4x400 meter relay team was third with a time of 4:10.79. The team includes Natalie Tillis, Stephanie Olmos, Villafranco Serenity, Aubrey Gray.
