Speech therapist Tanya Lujan explains there is a nationwide need for speech services, and the wide range of client ages that might require speech services.
“Speech therapy is a rehabilitation service like occupational therapy and physical therapy are, so when people ask me, basically I’m like everything from the neck up,” said Tanya Lujan on a recent edition of the Best of Midland Podcast. “Speech therapy consists of your speech, obviously, and then everything that has to do with the mouth: chewing, feeding and swallowing.”
“As well as cognition, so when there’s traumatic brain injuries,” Tanya Lujan said on the Best of Midland Podcast. “I get a lot of referrals from the Lubbock trauma centers once they’re discharged back to West Texas, working on cognition organization, thought, memory and things like that.”
Tanya Lujan is a speech pathologist and entrepreneur. She owns West Texas Speech in Odessa Texas, as well as a restaurant called Fuego West Texas, which is also located in Odessa. Tanya also competes as a bodybuilder.
