Curb Side Bistro is preparing to celebrate the eighth year of its Free Thanksgiving Meal event at both its Odessa and Midland locations, an annual tradition initiated by restaurant owner Alejandro Barrientos.
Earlier this month, Curb Side Bistro announced that Sam’s Club in Odessa made a significant contribution to the event. "The store manager offered complementary beverages and desserts," said Curb Side Bistro.
Curb Side Bistro Midland, located at 607 N Colorado St., plans to distribute free meals on Nov. 22 while Curb Side Bistro Odessa at 3816 Andrews Hwy will follow suit on Thanksgiving Day. Barrientos has called on patrons and the public alike to help spread word about the event.
Prior to this holiday celebration with his fellow Permian Basin residents, Barrientos is set to take part in another noteworthy food-related occasion. From Nov. 9-12, he will represent West Texas in the Bacon category of the World Food Championships held in Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW). Attendees of this event can expect to sample food and drinks from competing chefs around the globe, according to Curb Side Bistro.
