The Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center is set to host “Sounds of the Season,” a holiday music program by the West Texas Symphony, on Dec. 2, an opportunity for attendees to partake in this festive tradition. Doors for this much-anticipated concert will open at 6:30 p.m., and the performance is slated to commence at 7:30 p.m. Attendees can secure tickets which range from $12 for students to $60 on the higher end.

The event falls under the Pops & Family Series, financially supported by the Wood Family Foundation. Music Director and Conductor Gary Lewis leads The West Texas Symphony.

As indicated on their website, The West Texas Symphony prides itself on having more than 70 professional musicians in its roster. It has been rated by the League of American Orchestras and stands out as one of West Texas's largest professional performing arts organizations. It uniquely offers not only a symphony orchestra but also an adult chorale, a youth choir, and three resident instrumental ensembles.

Positioned at 1310 N. FM 1788, Midland, Texas is The Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center – established in 2011 as an esteemed national venue for performing arts in West Texas through collaborative efforts between Midland's communities, Odessa's communities, and the University of Texas Permian Basin.

Besides being home to The West Texas Symphony, The Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center's website reveals that it also hosts performances from other community groups like Midland Festival Ballet and Broadway in Basin; educational entities like University of Texas Permian Basin's music department; as well as Live on Stage Permian Basin.

With a hefty price tag of $81 million to establish it as a top-notch facility, The Wagner Noël Performing Arts Center offers seating capacity for 1,827 people in its primary concert room and hosts more than 150 performances annually.
